Zinc Oxide is a white powder well-known for its ability to protect the skin from the sun's rays. Zinc Oxide is effective against both UVA (320-400nm) and UVB (280-320nm) rays. Like Titanium Dioxide, Zinc Oxide is completely hypoallergenic and safe to use. 

The molecules of the ingredient are not absorbed by the skin and therefore do not affect the human body.

Zinc Oxide can be used in moisturizing creams and lotions. Its property to "brighten" colors is particularly useful in the case of soap making.
