DESCRIPTION

Matcha tea, or the magic of Japan, is the most popular green tea in the world.

Matcha means powdered tea.

It contains 135 times more antioxidants than regular green tea because we consume the whole tea leaf and not just the infusion. Unlike green tea, in matcha tea, the plant leaves, before harvest, are shaded. This change in sunlight levels increases the chlorophyll content, which is rich in nutrients. Once harvested, the leaves are steamed to stop fermentation that would decrease these elements. After drying, they are ground with stones to give us a vivid green powder.

Matcha tea is a high-quality tea, rich in vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants that protect against heart diseases and forms of cancer, regulate blood sugar better, reduce blood pressure, and have anti-aging properties. Apart from polyphenols (antioxidants), it has been shown to boost metabolism and slow down or stop the growth of cancer cells.

Matcha tea has a strong taste, resembling grass or spinach, and has the quality to relax and calm.
