Castor Oil comes from the processing of the seeds (Castor Beans) of the Ricinus Communis plant. Traditionally used as a 'medicinal' oil, since Ancient Egypt. Castor oil, due to its low molecular mass, has the characteristic of penetrating the skin. In fact, it can penetrate the keratin layer, the outermost layer of the skin consisting of dead cells that protect the tissues from infections and dehydration. The main ingredient of Castor Oil (with a content of up to 95%), Ricinoleic Acid, has remarkable anti-inflammatory properties, while also presenting analgesic action.
