Carrot Oil is extracted from the whole fruit of the Daucus Carota plant - our familiar carrot. It is often confused with Carrot Seed Essential Oil, which comes from the seeds of the carrot plant. Carrot Oil is particularly rich in Beta-Carotene, antioxidants, vitamins A, B, C, D & E, and fatty acids (mainly Petroselinic Acid). For this reason, Carrot Oil is considered one of the top oils for skincare. It moisturizes, nourishes, and significantly contributes to the healing and rejuvenation of tired and "aging" skin, as well as the revitalization of hair. Carrot Oil is used in numerous cosmetic products. In moisturizers, anti-aging creams, lotions, hair care products, lip balms, and soaps. Due to its unique combination of Beta-Carotene and vitamins, Carrot Oil is widely used in after sun products and cosmetics aimed at mature skin care. The Carrot Oil we offer has a deep red color (indicative of its quality) and can be used as a "natural dye" in making soaps and other bath products. Because of this fact, it is rarely used on its own as it can "stain" the skin - it is usually used in a 2-5% ratio in a base product. Use Carrot Oil in combination with base products and essential oils. It is an ideal ingredient for your homemade cosmetics and soaps - especially for facial products such as moisturizers, lip balms, and hair care products.
