Buckwheat flakes are an excellent source of protein. Indicatively, 100 gr. of buckwheat contain 11-14 gr. of protein. They are rich in B-complex vitamins, especially riboflavin (B2) and niacin (B3), vitamins E and K, and contain many minerals and trace elements (calcium, iron, magnesium, phosphorus, potassium, zinc, manganese, selenium, and copper).
They also provide a good amount of dietary fibers, as 100 gr. of buckwheat contain 10 gr. of dietary fibers, and they are rich in flavonoids, substances with strong antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties.
Buckwheat is gluten-free, making it a favorite for those with gluten intolerance (Celiac disease). Due to its high content of dietary fibers and complex carbohydrates, it is beneficial for people with high cholesterol, as it contributes to its reduction. It can also be freely used by individuals with diabetes, as it stabilizes blood sugar levels.
They can be consumed in your favorite plant-based milk such as almond, coconut, rice, or oat milk, or in your yogurt.
