Argan oil (Argania Spinosa) is one of the best oils for facial and neck care and hydration (considered suitable for all skin types). The tree that produces it (a living fossil from the Tertiary period) has remained unchanged for the last 1.6 million years. It thrives only in a few areas southeast of Morocco, where it is a real "treasure" for the local economy. The Argan tree is protected by Unesco as a global cultural treasure - as the region where it thrives (once covering all of North Africa) is constantly shrinking. Argan oil is considered one of the rarest (and most expensive) oils as it requires the processing of 100 kilograms of dried fruits (from 6-8 trees) and 8-10 hours of hard work to produce 1 to 1.2 liters of oil. All stages of the process are carried out by a women's cooperative in Morocco, who have passed down the processing method from generation to generation, preserving the technique unchanged to this day. Modern long-term research has revealed the benefits of the components of Argan oil on the human body: It contains 80% monounsaturated and polyunsaturated fatty acids, Omega-9 and 6, as well as a significant amount of linoleic acid, an essential fatty acid that acts as a skin waterproofing agent, creating a protective barrier and maintaining its elasticity. It also contains carotenoids, terpenoids, polyphenols, and tocopherols, all powerful antioxidants against free radicals - responsible for skin aging. Thanks to its high content of vitamin E, Argan is by far the most moisturizing, nourishing, anti-wrinkle, and anti-aging oil. It is ideal for cracked and fragile nails, damaged hair or dandruff hair. The Palmitic, Stearic, Oleic acids, and plant sterols of Argan have anti-inflammatory action and act reparatively on the skin tissue. In addition, it contains squalene, a unique and rare element against skin cancer.
