Apiganos helps blood circulation in the pelvic organs, especially in the uterus, and may cause menstruation. Apiganos should be avoided during pregnancy and breastfeeding. It can cause uterine contractions and miscarriages. It can cause kidney problems and irritation to the urinary system. Consumption of apiganos tea for more than 4 days can cause weakness and fainting. It can also lead to poisoning. Consumption of green leaves can cause diarrhea and swelling of the tongue. If you crush green leaves and flowers, blisters with strong burning will appear in your hand. Consumption of 25 g. green apiganos leaves causes profuse salivation, thinning of the pulses, swelling of the tongue, or even death.
